These films, while made for children, are actually targeted toward the entire family audience. Each of the Grimm cjassics re-done in Davenport’s own style offers a unique entertainment window through which general audiences can enter a world of fantasy, .interlaced with wonderful characters, unusual scenes and locations, and spicy fairytales.
As an alternative filmmaker, Tom Davenport is not bound by the world of Hollywood, where the rule of thumb seems to be sex, violence and shock value. None of that here.
