INVITATION TCf BID The Rappahannock. County School Board is soliciting bids for the construction of an addition to the Rappahannock County Elementary School. Sealed bids will be received February 8, 1994, at the Office of the Rappahannock County School Board, P.O. Box 273, Route 211 (at Route 636), Sperryville, Virginia, 22740 until 12:00 noon Eastern Standard Time, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Drawings and Specifications, including the Invitation to Bid, setting out the terms and requirements of the project may be secured at the offices of VMDO Architects, 116 Second Street, N. E., Charlottesville, Virginia 22902, telephone (804) 296-5684. after 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Monday, January 10, 1994, during regular office hours, upon deposit of $75.00 per set, which includes a non-refundable charge of $25.00. Drawings and Specifications can be shipped upon receipt of deposit. Deposit refund in the amount of $50.00 will be made on up to two (2) sets to all General Contractors and on one (1) set to subcontractors and material suppliers. Deposit refund in the amount of $25.00 will be made for all over two (2) sets furnished to General Contractors and all over one set furnished to subcontractors and material suppliers. Drawings and Specifications along with any Addenda must be returned to VMDO prepaid, in undamaged and unmarked condition, no later than 14 days after receipt of bids, or no refund will be made. A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the base bid price shall be required. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the base bid price shall be required. A pre-bid conference Kirill be held at the Rappahannock County Elementary School on Thursday, January 20, 1994, at 9:30 a.m. Attendees shall report initially to the administrative office. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is not mandatory. Representatives of the Owner and Architect will be present to receive comments on the Construction Documents for this contract.
