Minnie Nicholson
Mrs. Minnie Nicholson of Charles Town, W.Va., formerly of Madison County died Monday, Jan. 3 at Jeffersonton, Manor Nursing Home.
She was the wife of the late Bennie Nicholson.
Surviving are three brothers, Robert Campbell of Centreville, Lynn Campbell of Tampa, FI. and Eugene Campbell of West Virginia.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Jan. 6 at Nethers Mill Lighthouse Tabernacle with the Rev. Charles Clinedinst officiating.
Burial was in Etlan Cemetery.
Clore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Albert Cave
Mr. Albert Sidney Cave, 99, of Leon, died Thursday, Jan. 6 at Culpeper Health Care Center.
He was bom in Madison County on June 27, 1894. .
He was the oldest member of Bethal Baptist Church and served in the Army during WWI. He was awarded a medal by the Veterans Administration in November, 1993 commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the en<J of WWI. He is believed to have been the last living Veteran of WWI from Madison County.
His parents were the late John Thomas and Fannie Armentrout Cave. i
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Aylor Cave of Culpeper Health Care Center; one son, Herman Cave of Occoquan; six grandchildren, some reside in Rappahannock and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Edgar Cave. ,
Graveside services were held on Sunday, Jan. 9 at Etlan Cemetery in Madison County with the Rev. Gordon George officiating. i
