Easement Meeting •»
A representative from the Virginia Outdoors Foundation will be at the Rappahannock Library at 10:30 a.m. -on Saturday, Jan. 22 to talk to county residents who are interested in putting an easement on their property. All landowners concerned about preserving the quality of their land by protecting^ from unwanted future development are urged to attend. For more information call 937-5936.
Homemakers To Meet
The Blue Ridge Extension Homemakers Club first meeting of the new year will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at the Extension office. All members are encouraged to attend. The topic of the meeting will be “New USDA Food Labels.” Members are reminded that dues, which have been increased to $19 a year and membership forms are due by the evening of the meeting. I
Practical Nursing Testing
George Washington Carver-Piedmont Technical Education Center will begin testing on Feb. 1 for those who are interested in applying to the Practical Nursirtg Program that begins in September, 1994. This is an 18 month course that prepares a graduate to take the National Council Lecensure Examination for becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.)
