The Soho Center in Haywood is starting its latest series of training sessions specifically designed to help family day care providers offer a quality child care program. These free session are open to anyone who cares for other people’s children in their home. It is not necessary to be approved, registered, or licensed to attend.
According to Jeanna Beker, Soho Center’s Director, “Training family day care providers directly helps thousands of children across our region. I urge all.parents who have their children in family day care to encourage their providers to call us. We’ll welcome them to the free sessions and tell them about the Soho Center’s other free programs and services.”
The next training series starts on Jan. 15. Topics incli|d^ nutrition tips, fostering self-esteem in young children, speech and language development, selecting children’s toys and books, and ideas for children’s art activities.
