When all the statistics are gathered from the past hunting season, the deer kill in Rappahannock will be about the same as last year or slightly higher, Game Warden James Bankston estimated Friday.
He said that in the last few years about 1,800 deer a year have been legally killed in the county and the results should be the same for this past season. Mr. Bankston said that the deer kill is up slightly in Culpeper, Fauquier, and Madison counties this year, but down statewide.
