The WVFD will be the primary beneficiary of the July 4th celebration. Mr. Tompkins said he believed that RAAC will be committed to the July 4th celebration for at least two to three years. The chairpersons for RAAC are Beverly Atkins and Ellen Manson.
Hunt Harris, President of the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection (RLEP) spoke about the new Resource Cenler in town, which is located in the tiny building on Main St. which used to house Cabin Fever Books. He said the center serves for environmental and recreational education and hopes to have the center staffed bv volunteers seven days a week.
Mr. Harris also thanked council member Ray Gooch for his work with recycling during the recent years.
