PUBLIC HEARING: Amendment to Article XII of Chapter 151 of the Rappahannock County Code (Tax Relief for the Elderly & Disabled) Notice is hereby given of the intent of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors to hold a public hearing on Monday, February 6, 1995, at 7:00 PM, at the Courthouse in Washington, VA, to consider several amendments to the Rappahannock County Code related to Tax Relief for the Elderly & Disabled. The intent of these amendments is to make several amendments necessary to remain in compliance with enabling legislation contained within the Code of Virginia, as well as to liberalize the program by raising the allowable income level for full exemption from $12,500.00 to SI3,000.00, and indexing same for inflation. In addition, 50% exemption for those qualifying persons with incomes between SI3,001.00 and SI5,000.00 is extended. A copy of the complete text of the proposed amendments is available for public inspection at the County Administration Office on Gay Street in Washington from 8:30-4:30 Monday through Friday.
