Winter Concert Planned The Rappahannock County Elementary School bands and choir will present their winter concert on Thursday, Jan. 19 in the RCES gym. The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the Beginning Band. The choir will then perform “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.” Finally, the Blue Bank will present “Clarinet Blues” and the Gold Band will get your feet tapping with “Radical Rock.' The concert is preceded by the seventh grade's pizza dinner at 5 p.m.
Photo Exhibit There is a photo exhibit now showing at The Mountain Store in Criglersville on weekends, which will continue until Valentine’s Day. The photo’s are a collection of scenes and popular activities in and around Madison County and surrounding counties. The photos were taken by retired Dr. Ken McCoy, now owner of the Rose River winery in Syria. The sharp black and white photos have been mounted and famed for the exhibit, which is a first time showing of his work. The careful selection of topics, and the sharp images remind one of the well known Ansel Adams photos. Many viewers find themselves staring at one picture for several minutes, especially the photos with people’s faces. Call Lottie Richards at 923-4333 or 923-4349 for exhibit hours.
Business Council Meeting Set Members of the Sperry ville Business Council will meet at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5 at the Sperrvville Emporium. All current members and interested business pesons are urged to attend.
