A Modest

Proposal

To the Editor:

Undoubtedly, Ms. Kilpatrick’s article on the costs of Special Education has caused the taxpayers of our community great gnashing.of< teeth and rending of garments.! Therefore, 1 have a Modest Proposal.

Rather than using up valuable Public School space and funds for so few. why not take the abandoned A ileen Factory and use it as a storage facility for these children. To even further taxpayer savings, we could also locate the animal shelter and the new dumpsite on the premises as well, thereby, centralizing all of our public nuisances. Furthermore, the animals shelter and sanitary custodians could also monitor our new Special Ecuation facility enabling our teachers to work with larger numbers of our non-special education children.

Who knows what other savings we could effect!!! Imagination seems to be our only limitation.
