Last year’s “Open Theatre” was greeted with great audience enthusiasm. It included a wide range of events, everything from “The Snowman Who Overstayed," performed by the Rappahannock County Homeschoolers, to sophisticated theatre such as a scene from San Shepherd’s play “A Lie of the Mind,” performed by Howard Coon and Chris White, to comedies such as the infamous “Marred Bliss” and a scene from “The Madwoman of Chaillot,” puppertry by Virginia Scott, Joyce Abell’s monologue “Rupert’s Birthday,” singing by Beth Levick, Bob Treamor and others and a juicy “Gosssip,” an audience-selected topic played out by an inventive improvisations! troupe.
This year’s "Open Theatre” promises to be equally lively and varied.
