Mr. Jeffries was originally placed on probation after serving a jail sentence because he was convicted on two counts of aggravated sexual battery on two minor girls in October, 1988. At that time, Judge W. Shore Robertson sentenced him to five years on each count, for a total of ten years, with four years suspended, six years to serve, and two years of supervised probation. Mr. Jeffries was released from prison on mandatory parole in November, 1990.
