Aerobic workouts like brisk walking bum more calories than resistance workouts (lifting weights), but weight training helps sustain a weight loss by building muscle tissue to boost your metabolism.

To lose that stubborn last few pounds — continue your aerobics program and also add some weight training — pat yourself on the back — recall your successes — like that first weight you lost, and don’t splurge on junk food, thinking it won’t hurt — hang in there, you’re doing great! Always check with your doctor before beginning an exercise program.
