Sunday, June 4th, there were reports of U.F.O.’s sighted in several locals in Virginia, particularly in Fauquier, Page and Rappahannock Counties. Touch downs were also seen in Prince William and Fairfax Counties.
These Unusual Family Outings were instigated by the arrival of Ron and Katherine Dickerson Trager from Newark, Ohio; and Russell and Norma price Bolen from Amboy, Washington, Slyvia Bolen Harris from Milton-Freewater, Oregon and Bonnie Bolen Hanson from Walla Walla, Washington.
The Tragers visiting the area on a genealogical fact finding mission. Tuesday I rendezvoused with them in Warrenton at the Clerk’s Office there.
We proceeded from there to the Library and them to Marshall to the Historical Society.
Mrs. Trager is a descendant of the Bolens, Gaunts, Corbins and other illustrious Virginia families. Mrs. Trager descends from the Harpers of Fauquier County.
The Bolen entourage, whose grandfather, James William Bolen,' better known to us as Uncle Jim Billy Bolen, had migrated from Virginia to North Dakota.
Uncle Jim, was a son of John Henry and Mary Frances Cornwell Bolen of Rappahannock County. Jim’s wife, Adelia A.E. Armentrout, was a daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Louisa Judd Armentrout.
The Bolen siblings arrived in Luray Sunday evening and stayed with our mutual cousin, Beulah
