Virginia Burke
Virginia Alberta Weaver Burke, 79, of Boston, died on Tuesday, June 13 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 27, 1915, in Rappahannock County to the late Joseph Wallace Weaver and Florence Butler Weaver.
Mrs. Burke was an active member of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and worked for 39 years in the U.S. Postal Service.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Edmund Burke Jr.; her daughter, Joyce Anne Burke Bennett and her husband, Emerson of Boston; two grandchildren, Edmund Lloyd Bennett of Boston and Joseph Anthony Bennett and his wife, Dora of Pasadena, Calif, and one greatgrandson, Kristopher Anthony Bennett.
Additional survivors include two nieces, Patricia Burke Butler of Boston and Faye Burke Hoskins of Culpeper.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 16 at Found & Sons Chapel with the Rev. Tom Wiles officiating.
Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.
