He said he was attracted to Rappahannock County because it “reminds me of home.” He grew up in a farming community north of Pittsburgh and has experience in construction and as an iron worker. He enjoys hunting and fishing and is looking for an apartment.
He is not yet sure what to expect as he prepares to teach a classroom of fifth graders, but he hopes to have some outdoor activities with his class.
Marjorie Boerio will be returning to teach fourth grade. She taught kindergarten, first and second grade at RCHS for five years before leaving for four years. During that time she worked in canoe rental for Shenandoah Outfitters and worked as a bar manager at the Edinburg Mill until it was flooded out last January. She also traveled to Alaska with the idea of living and working there but decided that was too far from her family in the Pittsburgh, Pa. area.
