Championship meet on July 27. The South Wales Team ended with a record of 7-1.
This didn’t mean that the four team members were allowed to quit swimming at that time though.
Anna and Allison continue to work at South Wales as life gaurds. They are also on additional teams. Anna competes on Winchester’s team while Allison is a member of a swim team from Bathe County. (
Rebbecah used to participate on other teams as well. However she is not on any right now. This was her ninth year on a team and in fact she began swimming at the age of five.
Rebbecah says that “You look forward to seeing your friends,” from the swim team each summer. She also feels it’s a good form of exercise.
Who knows though, perhaps four years from now one of these athletes will represent our country in Sydney. However, until then they’ll have to be content with South Wales.
