Drain. For the sauce, saute onion in 2 tablespoons shortening, add sugar, water, garlic, soy sauce, vinegar and pickle. Add mixture of 2 tablespoons water with cornstarch to sauce, cook and stir for 1 minute. Add the meat and heat. Serve with rice. 6 servings. Note: This is an easy recipe to fix for a large gathering.
