Mr. McCullough sent in a video demonstrating his soccer skills, he was invited to Atlanta in April for the trials and he won a spot on the team as starting sweeper and back-up • goalie. Equally important, he passed the physical that all Paralympic athletes must have to determine if their ! disability meets the standards-set for ; the games. “The coach took me aside, ; put his arm around me and said, ‘This is a great moment in your life. It’s the only time you’ll be able to say you’re glad that you’re disabled.’”
