.After the Monarchs eliminated Wojodstock in Apple Valley League Competition Saturday, they ran into a brick wall against Edinburg Sunday bringing the season to an end.

The Monarchs defeated Woodstock 15 to 10. Leroy North pitched for the win with Luther Alexander coming in and closing the door in the eighth and ninth innings. Timmy Clanagan and Roland Harris both scored three times for six runs of the 15 runs.

In Sunday’s game, which could have put Rappahannock in the finals, the Monarchs lost to Edinburg 6 to 4. Luther Alexander pitched a great game, but Edinburg played a better
