Even though the leaves have "left’ the trees, the area is still attracting lots of tourists who visit to buy apples, homemade apple butter and apple cider. With all the traffic, business must be booming!

The United Methodist Women of Amissville will hold their annual Christmas Bazaar on Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church's social hall.

A special section of handmade crafts of all types, especially Christmas items and ornaments, will be on hand. A large "white elephant” table with bargains galore await your scrutiny and purchase. Fresh-fromthe-tree pecans (halves and pieces) will don a table of delicious homebaked goods and other delights to suit your taste!

This year a handmade coverlet (double bed size) crafted by Mrs. Nannie Weakley's mother, who was in her 80's while working on it. This is a "must see' item to appreciate the labor and beauty in its creation. We will accept silent bids (100 minimum) on this. Another first is a table of antique
