Class Hosts Guest Speaker

On Thursday, Nov. 7 from 6:30-8 p.m. the RCES library, a very spe. cial guests speaker, Ms. Andrea Mutterer, will share her current information about the State of Virginia’s newly adopted S.O.L.’s (Standards of Learning) with the Rappahannock Parents’ School Class. The Parents School Class meets for 10 weeks every Thursday evening and is led by Mrs. Pam Rossak, and Mrs. Amy Saxton, both teachers at RCES.

Ms. Mutterer is the Director of Mountain View Uniserv of the Virginia Education Association. All Rappahannock parents are cordially invited to attend. For further information please call the Elementary School at 9878259.

Soccer Banquet Scheduled

Rappahannock Soccer League’s annual Soccer awards banquet will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Rappahannock Elementary School at 4 p.m. Derek Godwin of Soccer Academy will be our special guest and will help give awards to all the players. Suggested contributions is $2 per person. Please return registration forms to the RCES office by Nov. 14. If you have not received a form, call Kathryn Treanor at 937-5794.

County Auction Planned

Child Care and Learning Center will present a country auction on Nov. 15 from 7 until 10 p.m. Live auction begins at 8 p.m. consisting of antiques, furniture, collectibles and goodies at The Washington School on Mount Salem Avenue. There is a $10 per person entrance fee. Please R.S.V.P. by calling the center at 675-3237.

Support Group To Hold Meeting
