Farmer’s Association plans dance
The Rappahannock Farmer’s Association will sponsor a dance on July 25 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the Rappahannock Elementary School. All types of music will be provided by: Wrights Big Band. The event will be casual dress and $10 charge per person. Children are welcome, under 12 years of age admission is free. A free swing lesson is included and refreshments will be served. Family reunion planned
A Jenkins, Sisk, Woodard family reunion will be held Aug. 2 at Rappahannock Park near Washington beginning at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. All family and friends are invited and are asked to bring a covered dish and a drink.

Kater, Nakai plan concert
Contemporary pianist/composer, Peter Kater meets Naive American flutist, R. Carlos Nakai on Friday, July 24 for a rare concert at Fauquier High School auditorium in Warrenton.
The show beings at 8 p.m. and features Kater’s soulful piano stylings and Nakai’s evocative wooden flute playing. Tickets are $15 in advance and $17 at the door. Kater, now based out of Rappahannock County, creates and records in his own EarthSea Studios. His recordings adeptly span the spectrum from contemporary jazz to new age and his scoring work can be heard from Broadway to television and film. Nakai is one of the best known and loved Native American musicians in the world. He received awards for best male performer as well as best flutist at the first Native American Music Awards this Spring. For information call 351-6191.
