Mr. Holdaway was predeceased by his wife Gracie Lee. Holdaway and two sons Rex Holdaway and Guy Holdaway.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 21 at TumerRobertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal with the Rev. James Burke officiating.
Pallbearers were Brandon Phillips, Gary Phillips, Geoffrey Phillips, Mary Meads, Curtis Holdaway Jr and Debbie Prather.

Elizabeth M. Marrocco, 87, a McLean resident for 30 years and co-owner with her late husband, Pazquale of Marrocco’s Italian Restaurant in Washington, D.C. died June 30 at her daughter’s home in Amissville.
Her daughter, Natalina Marrocco Rinehart was her sole care giver since her stroke four years ago.
Mrs. Marrocco, a native of Cumberland, Md., came to Washington, D.C. and opened the restaurant with her husband in 1950. Marrocco’s Italian Restaurant continued to operate for 48 years before closing last month.
Mr. Marrocco died in 1986.
Survivors include four children Anthony M. Marrocco of Sterling, Natalina Marrocco Rinehart of Amissville, Edward J. Marrocco and Mafalda Marrocco French, both of McLean; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother and sister-in-law of Lenola, Latina, Italy.
