Let’s tell it like it is. We are not talking developers here, nor mass environmental damage. We are talking tastes — design, and prejudices; sameness and diversity; and haves and have-nots.
We ought to examine the price we exact from those who cannot qualify, cannot meet our demands or afford our dues, cannot make it into our club. We ought to discuss this even as we congratulate ourselves on our successful efforts to keep Rappahannock pristine and privileged.
It’s just not right. We can do better, be more creative. We must resolve never to be a - system in which private prej- ' udice becomes public policy.
