adults. Their little ribs are still soft. Imagine the potential for internal injuries by grasping a toddler tight enough to throw her that high. Or imagine the stress on her developing joints in I such a throw. The heads of toddlers are much larger and heavier, relative to the rest of their bodies, than are the heads of adults. Toddlers fall head first! What if the throw had been off and our toddler had struck her head on the side of the pool? What if the thrower had slipped and our toddler had pitched head first through the shallow water striking her head on the bottom of the pool? The possibilities are frightening.
All of us need to be responsible. Whether we have a pool at our home, at our bed and breakfast or our children’s camp, we need to have to have rules and I supervision to ensure safety. "
