Park ranger

Edwin “Field” Benton, 87, of Flint Hill died Wednesday, July 15 at his residence.

Mr. Benton was bom July 13, 1911. He was a park ranger and a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his wife Helen Gore Renton of Flint Hill; one son Hugh Benton of Manassas and three sisters Mildred Brooking of Orange, Ann Wilder of Portsmouth and Brookie Dickerman of Staunton.
