What a pretty photo on
page one of the July 15 Rappahannock News. But, what might this photo have looked like if sapped two seconds later — a quadrapelegic angel — a dead angel? Pretty is pretty. Fun is fun. But, without good judgment, things can turn very wrong in just a split second.
As a member of the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad, I am concerned. You know we respond to your emergency calls for illness and injury 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, come rain snow, sleet or flood. But we believe we have another duty to you also. That is to provide information to prevent illness and injury.
