“People there told us that a wall of flame came through and they thought the whole county was going up. They were scared. Some of the flames were 30 feet high. The entire area was smoldering and burning when we arrived and it was very hot, the humidity was high and the wind kept blowing,” he said. “When you have weather like that with soot and heat and you have to work, it’s nasty.”
