Miss Angela Gayle Jenkins and Anthony Ray Baldwin exchanged vows in a candlelight ceremony on Saturday, July 4 at 4 o’clock p.m. at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville.
Angie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Lester Jenkins of Sperryville. Andy is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Ray Baldwin, also of Sperryville.
The church was decorated with white bows accented with white lights and ivy. Candelabras adorned the front of the church. Windows were decorated with hurricane candle lamps with ivy and bows. The church was decorated by the groom’s mother Mrs. Bonnie Sue Baldwin.
Miss Melissa Payne of Washington was pianist.
Miss Lori Pullen of Rixeyville was the soloist. She sang “The Rose” and “There is Love.”
The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Charles Clinedinst of Amissville.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin gown designed by Alfred Angelo. The gown featured a sculptured neckline and short puffed sleeves topped with an embroided lace bodice which was sweetened with sequins and simulated pearls. The princess-seamed bodice ended in a basque waist. The full skirt was adorned with lace medallions and trim with a decorative back bow and streamers. Decorative satin buttons covered the back zipper. The gowp featured a semicathedral train. The bride carried a bouquet of white and red silk roses accented with baby’s breath, ivy, pearls and streamers.
Mrs. Cathy Pullen of Washington served as her sister’s matron of honor. She wore a royal blue satin ballroom length gown that was accented with a bow on the back. Royal blue satin shoes complimented her gown. She carried a bouquet of red, white and blue silk roses, baby’s breath and ivy that was accented with red, white and blue streamers, pearls and red and white lace.
Bridesmaids were Miss Sharon Jenkins of Etlan, friend of the bride, Ms. Tammy Dwyer of Sperryville, friend of the bride, Miss Lisa Sisk of Sperryville, friend of the bride and Ms. Donna Clark, niece of the bride. They wore dresses identical to that of the matron of honor and carried bouquets that were similar to the matron of honor.
