Classmates to reunite The graduating Rappahannock High School class of 1958 is holding a 40th year reunion on Sept. 12 at 1 p.m. at the Childcare and Learning Center Picnic Shelter on U.S. 211 near Washington. A spokesperson said, “bring your family, a picnic lunch, and a lawn chair, 40 years is a long time and we are curious about what classmates are doing." Reception planned for Brooks A reception and fundraiser will be held for Cornell Brooks, Democratic candidate for Congress from the 10th District on Monday, Aug. 24 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Linden Vineyards. Services Board to meet in Sept ember' The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board has canceled its Aug. 11 meeting. The next regular monthly meeting of the Board will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 1 p.m. at the Bradford Road Office in Culpeper.
Health programs planned The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board invites persons 60 years of age and older to participate in the following Health Promotion/Screening Programs to be held at the Rappahannock Senior Nutrition Center: Aug. 12 at 1 p.m., Kay Largent, program on Warning Signs of a Heart Attack. Aug. 24 at 11:30 a m. Blood pressure check by Melinda Beach. Aug. 26 at 1 p.m., Karen Smith, TaiChi (non-impact moves) will involve participation. House tour dates set The annual Rappahannock House Tour and Dried Flower Sale sponsored by the Trinity Episcopal Church will be held Oct. 17 and 18.
