I feel it necessary to make a statement concerning Ms. McBride’s recent article in the newspaper.

First, I would like to state that I do not live in Flint Hill and never have. When I moved here from Texas two years ago, I rented a house that had an address in Washington. A year ago I bought a house in the Town of Culpeper.

I wish Ms. McBride had made arrangements to talk to me as she did when the band returned from Florida with top honors from a national competition. Unfortunately, she did not feel the need to get both sides of the story.

Two of the charges ($5, and $20) were purely circumstantial, in other words I was somewhere around when the money was reported missing, as were several other people. The lunch money charge was just that, $3 for lunch money. The only person who knew what my intent was, was me, and I know that I did not intend to steal the money. With this in mind, I am appealing the conviction and hope to be able to prove any money reported missing was
