“We do a little of everything,” she says of her music. “There are all age groups up there and you need to be able to please everybody. You have to be versatile.”
Zinn thinks the best cut is “Shenandoah,” also one of the favorites of audiences at the park. “We arranged the song in practice and the Hazel River Trio sings backup and Ronnie Guinn plays the steel guitar on the song. I think it’s the best song we recorded.”
The tape/CD has a little of everything to offer in keeping with Zinn’s style. “There’s a Bob Dylan and a Fleetwood Mac tune and we use mandolins, banjos, guitar, steel guitar, base guitar. Paul Fincham of Rappahannock is the banjo player.”
