Smith attended a concert featuring Sue Dodge, who sings with the Gaithers at the Potomac Park Camp and Conference Center in Falling Waters, W.Va. on Saturday, Aug. 1. While there, they enjoyed visiting with Cathy’s sister, Peggy Schloe, and with Ressie Whorton Utz, sister of Amissville’s Roy Whorton.
The Episcopal Church of the Word in Gainesville is bringing Vacation Bible School to Amissville Aug. 10 through 14! The Jenkins family will host Passport to the Holy Land at their home located at 1209 Jason Lane. Children ages three to 10 will “visit” Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Bethany in the Jenkins’ backyard from 9 a.m. until noon each day.
