Ida Mae Cornell, 95, of Sperryville died Tuesday, July 28 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
She was bom Oct. 26, 1902 in Rappahannock County, to the late Jacob Samuel Dwyer and Frances Lee Manuel Dwyer.
Mrs. Cornell was predeceased by her husband James Bryant Cornell.
She is survived by eight daughters Virginia Frazier, Grace Woodward, Eleanor Beahm, Katherine Waters and Mary Waters, all of Luray, Lorene Dwyer of Sperryville, Frances Morris of Harrisonburg and Pat Atkins of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include 27 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 31 at Found and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Toliver Utz officiating.
Interment followed at Sperryville Cemetery. . Pallbearers were grandsons.
