Woodrow Wilson Atkins, 78, of Culpeper, died Thursday, July 30 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Atkins was bom Oct. 10, 1919 in Rappahannock County to the late Ernest Atkins and Mattie Nun Atkins.
He is survived by his wife Vilonie Atkins; a son Ricky Atkins of Culpeper; two sisters Pauline Alther and Vergie Atkins, both of Front Royal and two brothers Virgil Atkins of Sperryville and Lindbergh Atkins of Fredericksburg.
Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Adam Atkins and Kennie Atkins, both of Culpeper, Angela Giles of Richardsville and Alpheus Atkins Jr. of Woodville and five great grandchildren.
Mr. Atkins was predeceased by a son Alpheus Atkins, Sr.; two brothers Eugene Atkins and Laney Atkins and two sisters Roberta Baker and Geneva Atkins.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 2 at Found & Sons Chapel with Rev. Alpheus Atkins and Rev. Lindbergh Atkins officiating.
Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.
