County Methodist services
The United Methodist Churches will have worship services for Sunday, Oct. 4 as follows: Flint Hill at 8:45 a.m.; Sperryville at 11:15 a.m. and Willis Chapel at 10 a.m. The Rev. Merlin Shorb is pastor and invites the public.
Revival at Flint Hill
Flint Hill Pentecostal Church is currently having revival services and will continue until Oct. 3 each evening at 7:30. There will be a different speaker each evening. The theme for the week will be “Jesus will be there-will you?” The public is invited.

Scholarship rally scheduled
The Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Ministers and Deacons Union will hold its Scholarship Rally on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Good Hope Baptist Church in Norman. Area ministers and deacons have been invited to sing in this service.
St. Peter's invitation
St. Peter’s Catholic Mission invites everyone to join in participating in Life Chain Sunday, Oct. 4 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Christians and their clergy will line a major road in Manassas, all silently praying and holding uniform prolife signs. Life Chain is a lawful gathering of Christians praying in over 100 cities across the U.S. for hearts to be changed and lives saved. Won’t you join St. Peter’s in this peaceful prayerful witness against abortion? Car pooling to Manassas starts at 1:15 p.m. in St. Peter’s parking lot.
