the Rappahannock Quilting Group which made Teddy bears and blanket kits for the Rappahannock Sheriff’s Office and which were given to needy children in the community. She is currently fund chairman for the American Heart Association for the county and anyone wishing to donate to that organization should contact her, she says. She has worked with Camp Fantastic at the 4-H Center in Front Royal for a number of years and bakes cookies for the annual 4-H Day Camp. She attends both the Washington Baptist Church and Chester Gap Baptist Church alternately. And, despite all these activities and her volunteer efforts found time to raise three kids. She now has three grandchildren with whom she enjoys spending time.
