First Baptist activities set
The First Baptist Church will celebrate Missionary Day on Sunday, Oct. 4. Sunday school will be held at 9:45 a.m. and regular service at 11 a.m. Dinner will be served following the morning service. At 3 p.m. the speaker will be Shirley Grant, First Lady of First Baptist and the Voices of Zion will be guest choir.
The First Baptist Church will install three candidates for deaconess on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 4 p.m. The guests for the afternoon will be Rev. Richard Gamer and congregation from the Rising Zion Baptist Church in Jeffersonton. Light refreshments will be served.
The First Baptist Church will be celebrating its 125th anniversary beginning Oct. 26 and continuing through Nov. 1. You are invited to the week long revival service or on Saturday, Oct. 31 for a celebration banquet. For more information call Eunice Lewis at 675-1128 or Dorothy Butler at 987-8339.
