Since 1934, Hackley’s Store on U.S. 211 has offered warm, personal service to everyone who passed through its door. On Dec. 24, the door will close one last time.
This has not been an easy decision for the Hackley/Makela families whose lives have centered around the store for four generations. As a community, we need to be thankful we have had Graham and Dorothy Hackley and Ron, Jan and Josh Makela as friends over the years. May God bless each of them as they pursue other interest. They will be missed, but not forgotten.
Happy 14th anniversary to my best friend and husband, Randy who has somehow managed to put up with all my craziness. It was 70 degrees on Dec. 1 all those years ago and it looks like it may be again this year!
Brandy and Gary Breeden will celebrate their second anniversary on Monday, Dec. 7. I’m sure it is just a coincidence that it is also Pearl Harbor Day! Happy anniversary.
