Happy birthday wishes are sent to Chris Martin who was nine years old on Friday, Nov. 27. He celebrated his birthday on Saturday with a party and a sleep over. One last year before you hit the double digits, Chris!
Food and monetary donations are being collected at our community businesses for the annual Community Christmas Baskets which is a combined effort of the Amissville Baptist Church, Bethel Baptist Church, Amissville United Methodist Church and the Ruritan Club. Last year, 75 people were recipients. Fruit baskets and poinsettias were delivered to our elderly and shut-ins. Food baskets were given to needy families in the area. Your donations made it possible last year and will make it possible this year. Checks may be made payable to Amissville Christmas Food Drive and sent c/o Dorothy Hackley, P.O. Box 75, Amissville, Va. 20106.
Help is also needed to assemble and deliver the food baskets. Contact Jan Makela at 937-5718 if you are able to volunteer.
