RCHS varsity basketball coach Reed Gillespie is excited about basketball season which starts, this week. “We have the ability to do a tremendous amount of good this year for the team and school. It’s really a question of how hard . they want to work — they have the talent.”
Gillespie, assistant coach last year will, fill Eugene Baltimore’s position as varsity coach. His team is primarily jhade up of juniors this year and though he admits it’s tough to replace someone like a .Jason Baldwin he feels this team could be the best the school has ever had.
“We really do have the potential to be the best and the talent and experience needed to win the district and maybe a game or two in regionals. We can beat Brentsville and Strasburg. It will come down to how much they want it as I’ve said.”
