The community work of the bike and skateboard store includes technical support for the Multiple Sclerosis benefit twice a year which usually generates about $5,000, the Tour de Madison which has raised money for Madison’s Parks and Recreation Authority for the last 10 years, the Rappahannock RoughRide for the Fauquier Free Clinic, the Culpeper Biathlon for the American Cancer Society and the AIDS Ride which has helped to raise over $1 million for prevention and cure of AIDS with a ride from Raleigh, N.C. to Washington, DC.
The Bike Stop has worked seven years to help build the bike trail in Warrenton which goes from the Depot to outside the town limits on the old railroad bed. The staff of the shop also make regular presentations on safety issues for the 4H and scout troops.
