unified by a bluestone path, smooth and wide enough for handicapped people, including those in wheelchairs. The path will be softly lighted for evening strolling, and benches will be installed at either end of the garden.
Simple beds of yews, azaleas, perennials, and ground covers, interspersed with dwarf magnolias will parallel each other along the sides of the church and the Middle Street sidewalk. The areas between the beds and the stone walkway will be' simple sod.
Various varieties of boxwood, lavenders, and more perennials will complete the picture. As further funds are raised, the garden will be surrounded by an extension of the wrought iron fence already installed along Gay Street, with a tall and handsome entrance gate leading into the garden from the parking lot.
