• Barney O'Meara, who is actively helping with the Trash Free Rappahannock campaign, has created some "wonderful" sculptures from trash he has collected along roadways in our county. They are on display in the lobby at Rappahannock County Elementary School. The Trash Free Campaign will continue through April 15. If you would like to beautify the county and raise money for your favorite organization, call Hunt Harris at 987-3366 for more information.
• Rappahannock County High School student Samantha Breeden attended District XIV Chorus on Feb. 12 and 13 at Park View High School where she participated in a wonderful concert on Feb. 13. Belated congratulations, Samantha.
• The Select Chorus from RCHS participated in District XIV's Choral Festival at Sherando High School on March 20.
