The J.V. Girls Softball team opened their season on Tuesday , March 23, hosting StVasburg.
The Lady Panthers came out on top 16-10. V Freshman Kelly Atkins had an outstanding day on the ihound. She recorded seven strikeouts and allowing only five hits for the game. "She pitched seven strong innings" and "I was very proud of the way she kept her composure, " said Coach Rhonda Jenkins.
The Panthers also had a good day at the plate, Rappahannock recorded nine hits for the game. Allyson Dbdson, Kelly Atkins and Rachael Sharp led the hitting attack. The lady Panthers Team for 1999 consists of: 1 Eighth graders: Allyson Dodson, Rachael Sharp,
