Ode to Ladybugs :
I have a little wooden house It's full of ladybugs They're.in the windows, ceilings, walls and dead upon my rugs.
We try to vacuum as a means Of putting them away But somehow a new crop of them Appears each passing day.
We know the season of this plague Is only wintertime. For dealing with their abundance now makes summer that much more sublime.
It seems they need to have a place They can survive the cold. But after seven years of this I'm afraid it's getting old.
For they fly from here to there to here When my tea becomes their roost. I've even tasted ice cream, seasoned with Ladybug au jus.
Their free fall frantic winding spasmodically through the air rind them aeronautically challenged As they land in foodstuffs and my hair.
Someday I'll have to find a true concoction I can use Tb thwart these insane little beasts from getting in my food.
But till that day, all grace that we can muster, we must find to suffer cute little ladybugs And help us to unwind.
The mystery that keeps them here and getting in our face While we try with all futility to remove them from our space.
We must think this is blessing chosen only for a few. For when I think of flying spiders, flying ladybugs will do.
