Adopt a pet
Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL) invites the community to visit the shelter and consider adopting a pet.
RAWL is currently looking for people to help with Feline Rescue. Cats cannot be housed at the shelter so foster homes are needed until permanent homes can be found for the county's stray cats.
The shelter is located at the Landfill on Route 639 off US 211 in Amissville, and is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every day except Wednesday and Sunday.
