Treasurer's report
The president delivered round figure’ information on the poinsettia sales in the absence of a treasurer's report. Total receipts nearly doubled to $4500 over last year's $2500.
A number of plants were not picked up, leaving total profits in question but standing at $1300 at least. Cordelia and Company generously purchased many of the left over plants and a final report will come when the figures are in.
The gift basket fundraiser was still in progress, but receipts are almost twice as high as last year. This is a very low investment, nonintrusive fundraiser that’s also very festive and popular with students and teachers. Kaye Kohler has once again done an outstanding job with this, and I'm sure she would appreciate any help as this turns into a tradition. Think about pitching in again next year to encourage students and others to donate items for baskets, collect baskets and materials, and help make the baskets.
Event calendar
On Friday, Jan. 5 the PTO will co-sponsor an event with Headwaters, borrowing from our own successful meeting format: 6 p.m. potluck dinner and 7 to 8 p.m. meeting at the elementary school cafeteria. The meeting will consist of a panel of RCHS graduates from two to 15 years ago. They will
