Citizen of the year — who better?
It's unanimous.. John McCarthy is Rappahannock News' Citizen of the Year, and what a perfect choice he is. He has dealt with cell towers. E911 problems, zoning code changes, ball fields, capital improvements, budgets, refuse and recycling centers, the Aileen property, County vehicles, the library, schools, bears, highways, golf courses, emergency communications, vandalism, and a small fire or two. He has provided his expertise, attention, time dnd concern unstintingly and with good cheer. He is intelligent, he is diligent, and he is unflagging. There is no other choice for the year 2000. Thank you John McCarthy!
